Aaron Kahn was an outstanding swimmer at Wheeling High School. While at Wheeling, Aaron held six school records in both individual events and relays. He currently holds the school record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.23. In 1995 and 1996 Aaron was a Mid Suburban League conference medalist. As a junior in 1995 Aaron qualified for the I.H.S.A. state meet in the 200 IM and finished 22nd in the state. As a senior, Aaron was an I.H.S.A. sectional champion in the 200 IM and set the pool record in the event. Aaron was a state qualifier in the 200 IM and 100 freestyle that same year. His finishing 11th in the 100 freestyle and 5th in the 200 IM, made him an All-State swimmer in two events. Aaron is the only two-time state medalist in the history of boys swimming at Wheeling High School.
