Pete Fischbach is the father of Wheeling Soccer. As the first boys coach in the history of the school, Pete laid the foundation for the Wheeling program that exists to this day. Pete spent 12 years as the head boy’s coach. Pete also spent 20 years as an assistant coach at Wheeling after being the head coach. As the head coach, Pete’s team won the first Mid Suburban Soccer Bowl in 1977 and placed 2nd in 1981. Throughout his career, Pete posted over 200 wins and helped establish Wheeling’s soccer program in the Mid Suburban League and the State of Illinois.
