Beth Anderson Athlete/Coach/Administrative Assistant

Beth Anderson had a tremendously positive impact at Wheeling High School for over 35 years as an athlete, coach, and staff member. As an athlete Beth was a 4-year 3 sport athlete excelling in volleyball, basketball, and softball. All totaled, Beth earned 9 varsity letters and was a member of 2 I.H.S.A. regional basketball championship teams and 1 regional volleyball championship team. In softball Beth was an all-conference selection and school record holder in season and career home runs. After college Beth returned to Wheeling where she greatly impacted the athletic program and the school. Beth served as a Certified Athletic Trainer for 30 years, worked as a P.E. assistant and pool supervisor, coached softball for 10 years, bowling for 16 years, and was the athletic administrative assistant for 22 years. Beth was twice honored as the ESP of the year and also won the Principal’s award for her contributions to WHS. As the administrative assistant Beth was the face of Wheeling Athletics. Throughout her career Beth always put Wheeling first and she was a true Wildcat through and through.
