School. In cross-country, Alice was a member of three I.H.S.A. state championship teams in 1983, 1984 and 1986. Alice was also a four time all-state runner in cross-country. She finished 3rd in 1983, 4th in 1984, 2nd in 1985, and 5th in 1986. In track and field, Alice was a member of three I.H.S.A. state runner-up teams in 1985, 1986, and 1987. Alice was an eight time state medalist in track and field, including two 2nd place finishes in the 800m run, two 4th place finishes in the 3200m run, a 3rd and 4th place finish in the 1600m run, and two 2nd place finishes in the 3200m relay. Her cross-country and track teams also won numerous Mid Suburban League championships, along with IHSA regional and sectional championships.
